Vanessa Poole, character actor, stage actor, voiceover artist, speaks native BBC English (RP) and fluent Swedish. She is based in Malmö/ Copenhagen, started working professionally recording English radio plays for schools at the age of 8 in Malta and has over 30 years experience of acting in English.

Vanessa is one of the founding members of Down the Rabbithole Theatre in Copenhagen (https://www.rabbithole.dk ), has worked for HIT House of International Theatre and is boardmember of Playmate Theatre Malmö in Sweden. (https://www.playmatetheatremalmo.co )

Vanessa is equally at home playing drama or comedy.

She has played lead roles, secondary roles and chorus parts in classic and contemporary theatre, childrens' theatre, pantomime and Shakespeare.

Vanessa was named one of the "Top Five English-Language Trailblazers 2015" in theatre in Denmark by The Copenhagen Post newspaper.

She has attended acting courses, workshops and scene study classes in English on voice, movement, drama and speech in Sweden, Denmark and the UK, including masterclasses with Patsy Rodenburg, Judy Kuhn & Declan Donnelan.

When not performing, Vanessa also teaches college-level English, theatre and delivers corporate training.
